"Smart" Car Kill Switch ALLOWED By Congress?

Despite making up over 50% of the House of Representatives, Republicans have failed to block a requirement for all cars made after 2026 to be fitted with a literal “kill switch.”

The tech would force cars to stop if it detects the driver is “impaired,” with Democrats claiming this would save lives from drunk driving accidents. However, Rep Thomas Massie and others have rightly pointed out the idea’s many flaws.

With more and more of our everyday items becoming “smart,” are we really just allowing government control into our homes, for a little bit of convenience?
