Israeli minister admits of ‘a Nakba of Gaza’

In an interview with Channel 12 news, Israeli Minister of Agriculture and former Shin Bet chief Avi Dichter described the current displacement and persecution of Palestinians in Gaza as “the Nakba of Gaza 2023”. Dichter has been calling for over a decade to re-occupy Gaza.

The Nakba, or “catastrophe” as it’s known in English, refers to the ethnic cleansing of some 750,000 Palestinians from their lands and homes in historic Palestine to make way for the creation of Israel in 1948.
