Clothed in a Lie

Thomas has long been clothed in the lie as the doubting disciples, a.k.a. Doubting Thomas, when in fact none of the disciples believed the resurrection story.

Yet, Thomas is the only one to be labeled as the doubter.

Conversely, Thomas also proved himself to be the most courageous of the original disciples, though the pulpit rarely ever mentions that because the pulpit is always to busy reinforcing the Doubting Thomas lie.

Mindful of those things, we must learn how to remove the lies that others try to cloth us in.
