Speaker Johnson Has a Trust Issue: Rep. Andy Biggs

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) says he is extremely disappointed in Speaker Mike Johnson's decision to partner with Democrats to push through a CR. He warned that Johnson could actually hurt Republicans in the 2024 election.

"It's trust. Who do you trust and do you trust the Republicans to deliver? Well, there's nothing really overtly that's been done that you could say. Yeah, yeah, I think they're going to deliver. People trust us on the economy, and yet we we do stuff like these crazy hours and and so I think it hurts us. The other the other thing is, is lefty and nutty as the Democrats are. Um. Everybody expects them to be lefty and nutty. Everybody expects them to, you know, be in for abortion to nine, nine months. Everybody expects them to have an open border. Everybody expects them to to do this crazy green New Deal programs that that harm us. They expect Republicans to act like mature adults and rein in those horrific policies. And we haven't been successful in doing that."
