Abused Log Bottle Stopper

My brother married into a family with a cherry orchard and for Christmas last year carved a plate from one of the trunks of one of the trees. There was a tremendous amount of checking throughout the log and it provided an interested effect. So I decided to accentuate the effect and fill the checking with some dyed Alumilite clear.
