After storms quite often trees are blown down and just turned into firewood. Most people don't know what to do other than call a tree service, but this is an option I provide for folks. I'll try to get in an save large trunk sections or crotches to save the wood for bowl making and in return give the person who donated the wood the first bowl I turn from the tree. The person gets a memento of the tree and I get free wood to turn, everyone benefits.
