Houston we have a new record holder!

On March 30, 2022, NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei completed a 355 day mission aboard the @iss, then the longest single space flight by a U.S. astronaut. Now, Vande Hei passes the torch to NASA astronaut Frank Rubio who reached 355 days in space yesterday, Sept. 11.

Rubio and Vande Hei got the chance to discuss this historic milestone together during a conversation on Sept. 5. When Rubio returns to Earth at the end of this month, he will have logged 371 days in space.
