In 1909, the US military built a concrete battleship at the mouth of Manila Bay, in the Philippians. During the Japanese invasion, Fort Drum was impregnable. It stood against constant bombardment and air attacks. When the military forces surrendered, the men disabled all the weapons so they could not be used. In 1945, the US forces had to retake this concrete ship.
