003 Deuteronomy 3:1-29 (Deuteronomy Studies)

Moses has recounted (in this book that means "Second Law") the 40 year wilderness journey up to the end as Israel prepares to enter behind Joshua's leadership. He now recounts the victorious battles under his (Moses) leadership, the land east of Jordan being given to Gad, Reuben and the half tribe of Manasseh... and closes the narrative.

We pick up in chapter four with a recounting of "the statutes" and "the judgments".
