The crews of the Grad MLRS combat vehicles are on round-the-clock duty. Tasks require quick response and maximum concentration. During aerial reconnaissance, objective control means identified areas of terrain with large concentrations of Ukrainian personnel. This information was transmitted to the command post of the Artillery Regiment. The Grad MLRS crews, having previously loaded the rocket launcher, receive a combat mission and move to the firing area, from where they inflict fire on the enemy.

The Grad MLRS crews deliver crushing blows to enemy personnel with high-explosive fragmentation unguided rockets, the shock wave and fragments from which scatter hundreds of meters and destroy a concentration of enemy infantry. Artillery paratroopers inflict fire damage both day and night, leaving the enemy not the slightest chance of survival and rotation.
