Medieval Shame Masks

Here are examples of numerous shame masks from Medieval times. Use as punishment for criminals and also for those that were evesdropping or gossipers. Many times the wearers were walked through the streets. These were normally used in Europe countries such as Germany, Scotland and England. On display at the Medieval Torture Museum in Historic St. Augustine, Florida.
