Miles Davis - Star People - 'Come Get It'

Manic energy. These musicians KNOW their instruments!
This 1st track with Miles and his band/s is probably the fastest and busiest arrangement I ever heard them do. I listened to the LP on a choice stereo of the day and it blew me away. Takes off into intense space jamming in a aggressive hurry, then mellows...maybe not your cup of tea, but some funk-rock-jazz fusion can be magical, Mike Stern on Guitar ...this one's that for me... I had just become a rapidly learning self-taught bassist in a band with a studio in the early 80s in a little town in WA where I grew up...ahh, some fond memories morphed into decade long pursuit of bass/synths and MIDI creations, when MIDI was the big thing to merge with analog micing/tape -and working the boards to a 2" 16 track tape machine
...mmm, the electrical circuit smell of that room...and the excitement as a 25 yo, pursuing a dream that eventually soured 5 yrs later.
