Pipecleaner Moss

Pipecleaner Moss (Rhytidiopsis robusta) grows in subalpine forests on the forest floor and often forms large mats, but can sometimes grows on logs. Pipecleaner Moss can be found in British Columbia, Alaska, Washington State, and Oregon.
