Actress Susan Sarandon was seen in New York City on Wednesday following her departure from the talent agency UTA after making controversial remarks about Jews. The agency reportedly severed ties with her due to the perceived contentious nature of her statements.

Sarandon sparked outrage during a pro-Palestine protest on November 17 when she asserted that frightened Jews were "getting a taste of how it feels to be Muslim in America." The statement referred to the increased incidents of antisemitism in the U.S. since the conflict began on October 7.

Her remarks elicited strong reactions from both the Jewish and American Muslim communities. Some American Muslims suggested she visit a Muslim-majority country to gain perspective on the comparative quality of life in the U.S.
