Tiffany Haddish Arrested, Facing DUI Charge After Allegedly Falling Asleep Behind the Wheel of a Car…
According to the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD), the actress, 43, was arrested on Friday morning and is currently facing a DUI charge after she allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel of a car.
Authorities said they received a call around 5:45 a.m. local time about a woman who was stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive while the vehicle was running. According to the BHPD, Haddish is expected to be released later today.
TMZ, who was first to report the news, said that Haddish had previously performed at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood the night prior, in celebration of the venue's 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community event.
Representatives for Haddish did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
