False Bugbane

False Bugbane (Trautvetteria caroliniensis) is a perennial wildflower that belonging to the Buttercup (Ranunculaceae) Family that can be found growing on stream-banks, floodplains, and in damp forest areas at low to middle elevations. False Bugbane can be found in British Columbia, Washington State, and Oregon. Caution should be used around this plant as False Bugbane contains an irritant compound(protoanemonin) that causes blistering and redness if it comes into contact with the skin.
