Awareness & Preferential

[Transitional Times Poem Collection]
Gaining knowledge can be challenging, especially when it undermines our existing ‘concept of the world we live in’, yet it is a prudent journey to undertake. Such knowledge can inform us and our choices and help us in creating the desired new.

This creation falls into my 'Transitional Times' poem category which contains 'a variety of Motivational and Commentary poems exploring issues of the time in Ireland and Worldwide' created to encourage consideration, reflection and faith, in ourselves, others and God.

Poem wording

Awareness & Preferential

Awareness and growing …
The challenge of learning and knowing.

The pain it creates and the
emotional distress. It grates.
But, I would not alter it
and I suggest you seek it out,
and do not falter in it.

Wanting ‘to know’ is essential.
As is ‘seeing’, that these issues
we face, are in fact, existential.

For the ‘powers that be’,
your ignorance, is preferential.
‘They’ wish to maintain their power
and your continuing to be deferential.

Let’s dump them all in the next s‘election’
If there’s four seats, take your pick, but don’t
name a fifth, on a preferential!

We’ve been pushed and
pucked from every direction.
Time to ‘discern’ and put
a stop to their momentum.

Fuel instead your knowledge and spirit.
Use it for ‘good’, act on it further,
protect our aged people and ourselves
from democide; and help with genocide prevention.

If you feel this is an exaggeration of data.
Please find and show some evidence!! …
I do believe it doesn’t exist on this strata.

Meanwhile, observe and listen
to the bias, lies and manipulations.
Being implanted via their media and politicians
At the behest of their ‘masters’ notions
over the people of this and other nations.
