Mary Hopkins and Linda Ronstadt are the singers of choice for the Mayor today for the Segue City Special that sets the table for the coming week. We'll be hard at it again tomorrow morning considering the thematics and general tonal qualities of a number of songs to find just the right ones that will mix together... Then we have to bob and weave around the Copyright Nazis as to what songs we can play from certain artists without getting a knock on the studio door... besides, ever notice that we don't run commercials in the middle of the segue? Or ask you to "like" the segue or become a subscriber so that you can get a secret decoder ring? All you have to do is sit back and enjoy...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
