ECX Brutus First Run - Destroyed Transmission In Under 4 minutes

***update*** for those thinking I intimentionally drove it to break it, you need to watch and read about my excitement about this RC. I thought it was going to handle like my Stampede and the ECX Ruckus that took this type of driving out of the box. Yes. I do know not to land on throttle (guessed in the video I did) and if you listen you can hear the motor slow. I also know how to set a slipper clutch, but refuse to loosen them to the point where there is not punch left. What’s the point? I did loosen it enough that it wouldn’t wheelie on command. It was driving how I like and really enjoyed it. Plan to upgrade it to be able to handle this “much” (which wasn’t too hard) driving. Also...it seems it’s usually he spur gear that strips...not the transmission on something like this. Just strange. *end update*

I know you guys wanted a bash video with the ECX Brutus and I really wanted to deliver. Sorry that it's not going to be a long video as the transmission blew out disappointingly quick. I did check the slipper and it wasn’t set to slip a ton on take off but just enough that it wouldn’t wheelie off the line. If I have to give up all lunch then to me it just needs an upgrade until it can.i drive it like I do my Stampede and even my dad’s Ruckus We bought him for Christmas.

Yes, I mentioned “they don’t like to land on throttle” guessing that I accidentally did that, but upon listening to the audio later, it sounds like I let off at the end like I normally do. I think it had more to do with the inertia being more downward than forward from that particular ramp. So even on on throttle, it was an immediate stopping agent on the tires. Then I throttle hard off that initial landing to try to slap wheelie.

I don't feel I went to hard on it and I don't mind upgrading, but I expected to do it if I wanted to go brushless. I'm going to upgrade it because I do like how it handled, just regret that it was destroyed so quickly.if you want to run stock, you’ll have to really loosen the slipper.
