Israel needs the cease fire to produce any form of W they can allude to, because they failed all of their military objectives.
Hamas dictated the offer and accepted the cease fire, in order to alleviate the pressure and allow humanitarian aid for the civilians of Gaza. Militarily speaking, they have announced they are only beginning.
