Is The US a Democracy or a Global Empire?

In this video, I elaborated on the differences between a democracy and an empire. I drew on a number of historical examples to demonstrate that the US had imperial ambitions from the nineteenth century to present. Also, I referenced an article from wickipedia, which proffered an historical foundation and context of US's role as a global empire.

Chalmer's Johnson's Book, "Sorrows of the Empire," was heavily cited, as he captured explicitly America's role as a global empire, not a democracy, as is so often portrayed by American domestic mainstream culture.
