In chapter 3 of 2nd Peter, he continues to point us to the future grace and judgment of Christ's return by reminding us of the ancient grace and judgment of Noah's flood. Some scoff at the 2nd coming of Jesus, using the evidence of a consistent and stable earth history as proof that such supernatural interventions don't happen.
