‘Incredibly Troubling’: Rep. Gallagher on FBI and CDC Failures to Investigate Chinese Biolab in CA

A lab unearthed in California. Local officials found vials with Ebola, HIV, COVID, and others.

Rep. Gallagher: “We had a Chinese citizen who came to America illegally… He set up this lab, and he was buying dangerous pathogens, including Ebola, including tuberculosis, including HIV online… we have no trip guard.”

FBI, CDC’s response? Initially none.

“… the FBI said, well, we can’t investigate because there’s no ties to WMD… They call the CDC, the CDC hung up on them, initially… it wasn’t until the local congressman got on the case that the CDC was forced to send a team to investigate… that wasn’t until many, many months later.”

Rep. Gallagher’s warning is clear: “You cannot trust the Chinese Communist Party.”
