Red Columbine-Flower Bud

The Red Columbine (Aquilegia formosa) is a perennial wildflower that grows in damp open forests, meadows, clearings, creek/stream-banks, and beaches at most elevations. Red Columbines are also known as Red Rain Flowers and Grizzly-Bear's Den and can be found in British Columbia, Alaska, Washington State, and Oregon.
