Borderline learned helplessness captures and ensnares Codependents. The Martyr mindset in many
with Codependence takes the lead all-too-often. Codependents are enabling the person with BPD, feeling sorry for them, wanting them to be who you thought he/she was but really JUST isn't. Codependents have pity and care (unhealthy over-extended empathy) borderlines that have no one else. Codependents end up compromising self for the Borderline that you can't change.
