Hamas official says Israel has not reached any of its objectives in Gaza

Osama Hamdan, Senior official in Hamas, stated in a press conference in Beirut Tuesday, that Israel has "failed miserably" both militarily and politically in Gaza.

Israel has not reached any of its stated objectives, he said, adding that the number of Israeli soldiers that have been killed and wounded in the ground incursion is much higher than the number released by Israel.

There are more than 1,000 injured Israeli soldiers, he said, with 500 of that number being seriously and moderately injured.

Hamdan said the "enemy's losses" will increase in the coming days. Israeli troops have not touched 80 percent of the ground in Gaza, he added.
