Borderlines do not purposefully or consciously target or pick people to have on purpose failed relationships with out of some planned and conscious fantasy at all. Codependents are not responsible for the BPD relationship Breakup, rupture or failure. You were not targeted on purpose by a Borderline orchestrating consciously some fantasy planned failed relationship.

Borderlines do not have the fantasy life that narcissists do. People with BPD due to unconscious repetition compulsions when untreated are doomed to continue to cause relationship or relational rupture largely due to the push/pull of the avoidance conflict.

The source of this misinformation about people (no doubt he was focused only on women with BPD - not men) is not accurate about comparing Narcissistic Shared Fantasy and targeting and attributing it to those with BPD. The Malignant Narcissist/Psychopath forwarding this has his own agenda to aggrandize himself.
