Airbnb Scam- I Got Scammed on Airbnb

My first negative experience on Airbnb after years of using the home rental service. It wasn't too bad, but I still felt bad about it. If you've never used or heard of Airbnb, it is a home sharing service where people rent out their apartment for days, weeks, or even months. Many home owners invest in these types of properties and I've been using it for years. There are common scams on Airbnb but today was my first experience with one. I'm sharing these stories to hopefully give a heads up to those choosing to use the service in the future, and something to watch out for.
