The FBI conducted a record number of National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) checks on November 24, Black Friday 2023 easily surpassing the 192,749 NICS checks conducted on Black Friday 2022.

It means that people are taking their ability to protect themselves seriously, indicating a growing trend of individuals no longer relying on the government for their safety.

Here's what's interesting. 214,913 does not directly correlate to one gun. You can buy multiple guns with one background check, so the number of actual guns sold might be even double the reported number.
