Hypersexuality in women with Borderline Personality Disorder is correlated to sexual abuse trauma in childhood. It is the symptomology of this trauma. Not all women with BPD are hypersexual. Many who have been sexually abused become more asexual. The hypersexual BPD woman can, in a relationship, after splitting cycles become more asexual as she struggles to cope with the push pull over-all in the relationship due to her childhood triggers.
