People with Codependency end up in collusion with a person with BPD by abandoning self and focusing on and trying to rescue the borderline. Codependents often are not in touch with and/or afraid of their own emotions and stay in that zone of trying to rescue, fix, be the hero to the borderline, unconsciously to avoid one's own pain and the healing that you need.
