Beekeeping during dearth means feeding the bees. There is always something to do in the bee yard but that doesn't always mean you can do it. During dearth, opening a hive for an inspection can lead to a serious robbing situation in the bee yard. So the work moves into the shop where we build vented feeding shims and some deep supers to cover the feeding buckets. I also give an update to the resource hive, the blue nuc, the new name for the Orange queen, and wrap it up with a special message to you.
