Here’s the reason Stephen A. Smith hasn’t covered the Josh Giddey story

Stephen A. Smith is right, most of the massive sports media outlets out there have decided to stay away from the Josh Giddey allegations because the information on what he allegedly did is all over the place. However, the details were too loud and too specific to ignore. Nothing has been proven yet, not even the allegedly underage girl's actual age. We still have no idea whether she is even a minor but the clues do point that Giddey was at least involved with her at some level. This became the most viewed story of last week and not covering it would've been irresponsible. As long as the outlets that did cover it gave the specific details without making ay direct accusations, this is defeinitely a new worthy But for a publication as massive as ESPN that has many big names working for them, they chose to not even cover this story other than what we know until now. The fact that the NBA is already conducting an investigation means there is something worth investigating. Otherwise, they wouldn't have announced they are diving into the case at all. If Giddey is innocent of these allegations, chances are his legal team will go after specific Twitter users or public figures who said he is guilty of any wrong doing. ESPN and other media outlets will report on the story but only after the NBA investigation is done. But what do we know for a fact right now?
