Possibly in low percentage of cases. Would this be healthy for you? Are the "amends" really your responsibility? People with Borderline Personality Disorder think "feel" (magical thinking) in black and white all or nothing ways. Untreated borderlines will not succeed and their relationships almost always rupture.

If a person with BPD can't take personal responsibility how would your taking over-responsibility in trying to make amends be helpful? Borderlines can't love. It is more likely to be a painful self-sacrifice. Ask yourself, are you motivated to try to make amends to not be alone or to not have to grieve the end of a toxic relationships?
