Beef Stroganoff Homemade | How-To Video
It's very easy to make delicious Beef Stroganoff Homemade. I show you how to in this video. Click "Show More" for the recipe.
Beef Stroganoff Recipe:
2 pound Top Sirloin Steak (sliced thin)
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoon Pepper
2 Tbsp Butter
1/2 Onion (coarsely chopped)
6 oz Sliced Mushrooms
2 Garlic Cloves (minced)
2 Tbsp Plain Flour
1/2 Cup Red Wine (optional)
3-4 Cups Beef Broth
1/2 Capful of Kitchen Bouquet (optional)
2 Tbsp Sour Cream
1 Tbsp Parsley Flakes
1 Package Broad Egg Noodles
**Optional Corn Starch Slurry if needed to thicken sauce**
6 oz tap water
2 Tbsp Corn Starch
1) Heat oil over med-high heat until shimmering.
2) Add sirloin, season with salt & pepper, and brown on both sides.
3) Remove sirloin and set aside.
4) Add butter and onion. Cook onion over med-high heat until tender (5 minutes).
5) Add Mushrooms and continue cooking for a few minutes.
6) Add Garlic and continue cooking for a minute or until you smell the garlic.
7) Stir in flour and continue cooking for 1 or 2 minutes.
8) Stir in red wine and scrape the fond off the bottom of the pan.
9) Add beef and juices.
10) Stir in 3 cups beef broth and bring to a boil. Once at a boil, cover and reduce heat to simmer. Simmer mixture for 1-2 hours or until beef is tender. Add remaining beef broth if needed to compensate for evaporation.
11) Add Kitchen Bouquet if needed to adjust color of sauce.
*** This is a great time to cook your pasta! ***
12) Add corn starch slurry if needed to thicken sauce. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
13) Stir in sour cream and turn off heat.
14) Season with salt & pepper for taste.
14) Serve the stroganoff over pasta and sprinkle parsely flakes over top.
