Patterns of language usage give the Narcissist away pretty much non-stop. They will not respond to you, change the topic and then accuse you of doing to them what they are doing to you. The will interrupt with critical conflict causing language to shock or surprise you and thus create, again, more space for them to be all about them. Where there would be expected empathy or response to what you've said, they change the topic and put the focus back on self and often simultaneously the blame (for what they are doing) back on you.
