Adult Child of Narcissistic Abuse Seek Your Own Closure - Break Free

What will happen if your BPD NPD ASPD parent dies? Do you need "traditional closure"? Do you even want to go to a funeral? Is that the only way you can get closure? I am a total expert on this mainly because I have had one Co-morbid BPD/NPD/ASPD parent die and I wasn't told until 8 months after he died that he was dead - I found my own closure - you can too. My family of origin won't give me the decency of attending my BPD/NPD "Mother's" funeral when she dies - good thing I know just how there are so many ways to Break Free before they die and before it would matter, if in fact it matters to you much, if at all anymore. It matters NOT at all to me re the BPD/NPD "mother" that I never bonded or attached with and who has for my entire life and the beat goes on, PUNISHED me for God only knows what. It's okay to break free and not care. It's not about punishing them it's about finding you, loving you, and finding your own closure. The Cluster B abusive parents have died psychologically for most adult children thousands of deaths already. The actual physical death, for me, is utterly meaningless. You too, can break this free and make this choice of empowering self-love that is healthy. You get to define your healing, recovery, and life as you go from victim to survivor and then on to thriver. As a thrive I do not need anything at all from the BPD/NPD "Mother" or the equally as mentally ill family of origin. Just don't. It's all good, in fact life is great detached and no longer bound in any way to THEM. Set yourself free. You don't need anything from them to truly find the closure I have found that you may still need to take the journey of finding. Remember, you are SO VERY WORTH IT!
