The poor of Macon GA flip the bill for massive Ziggurat near dead mall

The city - county of Macon, in Georgia, has okayed the construction of a $44 million vanity project in the middle of the abandoned west central Macon. This area has been, over the last decade, cleansed of jobs and the retailers, restaurants and hotels of the area have packed up and moved north, closer to the 'people' they'd rather serve. The citizens of west central Macon, mostly African americans, have been abandoned by their city and the businesses, and now have been dupped into allowing the city to use their tax dollars for the frivolous construction of an amphitheaters that will bring a hand full of jobs and millions in the pockets of national corporations. The money will be 'attempted' to be returned to the city for the next 30 years per reports, and with no details on the negotiations. This is a sad misuse of the much-needed funds for the citizens of Macon. For example, the entire budget for 2023 is $198, over $88 of which is mostly going to more policing.
