Dietrich Klinghardt (*1950 in Berlin) studied medicine in Freiburg, did his doctorate on the involvement of the autonomic nervous system in autoimmune diseases and has been working as a doctor in the USA since 1982. He specialized early on in the treatment of chronic pain. He was not only interested in the appearance of a disease, but also began to research its cause and became interested in the consequences of chronic toxicity (particularly lead, mercury, environmental pollutants and electromagnetic fields) on the course of the disease. He soon came up against the limits of conventional medicine, acquired a wide range of alternative methods and over the years developed his own forms of diagnosis and therapy (autonomic regulation test, psycho-kinesiology, mental field therapies), which have since become part of medicine as the Klinghardt Method.
Internationally recognized for his successful treatment of chronic pain, Lyme disease and autism, his treatments combine non-surgical orthopedic medicine with immunology, endocrinology, toxicology and neural therapy, in accordance with the 5 Levels of Healing®.
Today, the health consequences of toxic influences from the environment are at the center of his interest. Heavy metals and mobile phone radiation in particular are causally linked to neurological abnormalities and illnesses, especially in children. The clinical pictures range from ADHD syndrome to autistic disorders.
Another focus of his work for many years has been the treatment of chronic diseases, often caused by borrelia, and the biological treatment of severe so-called autoimmune diseases that can be causally linked to borrelia.
In 1996, Klinghardt founded the INK - Institute for Neurobiology according to Dr. Klinghardt, based in Glottertal near Freiburg. One of the Institute's tasks is to maintain and disseminate Klinghardt's teachings in German-speaking countries.
