Man Involved In Car Accident Attempts To Car Jack Another

A man was hospitalized after he crashed his vehicle, attempted to carjack a vehicle that stopped to help, then ran into traffic on US-131 and was struck by a passing vehicle, on Sunday evening around 5:30pm.

The Osceola Sheriff’s office said the vehicle ran off the roadway, rolled over and became wedged between several trees.

The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and bystanders rendered aid with a makeshift tourniquet.

The driver was eventually transported to Munson Hospital for his injuries.
