The Wyoming Fire Department will soon have a new acting chief

The city of Wyoming says Deputy Chief Dennis Van Tassell will take over as Acting Fire Chief on January 1st, 2024. Tassell has been with the department for 24-years and he will be replacing former fire Chief Brian Benett, who left the role earlier this year due to what the city says was argumentative behavior with a lack of respect for leadership.
