white girl from the suburbs, performing
her “totally authentic” ‘minstrel show
without the make up’ version of
Southern Mississippi, back country,
field negro, Ebonics for the
entertainment of her fans and
detractors alike, adhering to the
old adage, “You can talk good or
bad about me, as long as you talk
about ME.”
