The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is asking for the public's opinion

The agency is going over options for the facility and will be accepting comments through December 31st. The Boat Club first opened in 1902 but the aging structure has been vacant for the past year. Officials say they have considered rehabilitating the building but it will come at a price of 54 million dollars or more.
