This last September the United States offered to send more weaponry to Ukraine, among those weapons are depleted uranium tank shells. Biden, who is the poster child for the George Santayana phrase about forgetters of history doomed to repeat it, must have forgotten an event in Ukraine just four months earlier where Russian hypersonic missiles hit a warehouse filled with British donated depleted uranium shells that caused what many are calling a small nuclear explosion. The result of that explosion being that a large swath of northern Europe was contaminated with nuclear fallout that fell on people, animals and land in a Europe that was already cursed with a lack of heating oil for this winter. So, what are these weapons made from? How do they work? What are the long-term implications of spent shells as their shrapnel litters the countryside and dust particles contaminate European crops.
