The October Caddisfly (Dicosmoecus gilvipes) is an insect belonging to the Limnephilidae Family that spend their larval stage in aquatic environments (rivers/creeks/streams). The October Caddisfly can be found in British Columbia, Alberta, Washington state, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, Nevada, and Montana. The October Caddisfly is a species of Northern Caddisfly and is also known as the Autumn Caddis, Giant Orange Sedge, and October Caddis.
