Beware not to Forget the Lord Your God

He brought them (the Israelites) to the Promised Land where He now blessed them after teaching them the importance of the Word of God for their connection and relationship that it might not be lost.

Because the plan of the Father is to fulfill His Covenant, establish His Covenant with their fathers that He will bless them abundantly according to Deuteronomy 8:1-14.

He tried them first. And then, He warned them. Before giving these blessings, a warning came.

He said,

“I taught you a lesson that the Word of God is the most important thing:

‘Man shall not live by bread alone’

So that when I proceed to give you all the blessings of the fulfillment of the blessings I promised to your fathers, you will not forget Me.”

And then He specified the promise, also the warning.

Because if I will let you dwell in an abundant land flowing with milk and honey, plenty of bread, plenty of water, your herds will be multiplied, your gold and silver will multiply, you will become prosperous and wealthy—beware not to forget the Lord your God.
