#Venezuela Votes to Annex #Essequibo from #Guyana | Understanding the History & Context of the #News

Vlog 2 December 2023 | Major news or #noticias of Venezuela and Guyana as they argue over the region of Essequibo where oil was recently discovered and where England made off with most of the gold in the last century. There's a lot of political background and a lot of stories of corrupt European colonizers taking advantage of poor newly formed American sovereign states and a failure of the international court systems for far more than one hundred years. We'll dig into America's position and how the Monroe Doctrine requires that the USA back Venezuela in a position where the US has stated solidly in the past that the land was taken illegally from Venezuela through an act that was in total betrayal of the US as well by a supposed ally (the UK.)
