Dick Durban - "I think we should give undocumented persons a chance to serve in our military"

"Undocumented persons" Is that another name for illegal aliens?
Can a person who is not a citizen of the United States be given a chance to serve in the military...and be rewarded with citizenship if they serve honorably??
