The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is announcing a regional task force

The task force includes the sheriff's department, Wayne County agencies, local police departments, Macomb County Sheriff members, the FBI, U.S. Border Patrol and Secret Service. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard says the groups of thieves targeting homes are made up of transnational gangs that they believe are mainly from Chile. Homes that have been targeted by the group include residences that back up to woods, golf courses or trees and are in a secluded area.
