PSALM 129 - SCARS OF THE FAITHFUL
LYRICS INSPIRED BY PSALM 129: "From youth they've oppressed, yet here I stand,
With scars on my back, from enemy's hand.
But the Lord is just, breaking their bind,
Freeing the faithful, leaving foes behind.
Plows on my back, long furrows they made,
Yet in His mercy, my pain starts to fade.
Wicked shall falter, their plans go astray,
For God's love and justice will forever stay.
Let them be like grass, on rooftops so high,
Withering before growth, under the sky.
With no one to gather, no one to bind,
Their fleeting existence, out of mind.
Blessings be upon those, who trust in His name,
While the wicked are left, in their shame.
For the Lord is our refuge, our eternal flame,
In the scars of the faithful, His love we proclaim.
